Hello loves!! I hope everyone is keeping warm as this Arctic Blast makes its way across the country! This frigid weather is definitely helping bring in the start of the holiday season. So today, I decided to create my Christmas Wish List for this year. Honestly, ever since I left for college four years ago, I haven't really wanted much for Christmas. I guess because my mind was beginning to shift from being young and selfish, to young and mature. So this year, I'm focusing less on myself and more on my family, close friends, and those in need.
As you can see above, I really only want three things for Christmas: an ESV Journaling Bible, a US passport, and to purchase my blog domain name. And if there'e a little left in the budget, I've got my eye on this Crosley vinyl record player.
ESV Journaling Bible
I first saw a picture of the journaling bible on Instagram. When I saw it, I was like "hmmm...what is this?". I searched #journalingbible and was amazed at all the people who use these! I ended up checking out Valerie Wieners IG page and website and was amazed not only by her journaling but by her story and her artwork (the picture above is hers, not mine!!).
I outgrew my children's bible, so once my mom got a new bible, she gave me her old one. I've highlighted and book marked it so much, that it's looking a little raggedy. Not to mention the TONS of notes I take in church. My church already gives out fill in the blank notes, but I typically write so much more all over the page. So, picking up this new journaling bible will kill two birds with one stone for me -- a much needed new bible + more room for note taking!
I'm 22 years old and have never been on a plane, west of Texas, north of Tennessee, northeast of Virginia or south of Pensacola, FL. I've been confined to the southeastern corner of the US for my entire life. I remember first wanting to apply for a passport when I was 18 years old. Because at 18, I could sign up to be on America's Next Top Model, and they always had the finally in a foreign country. Well, I never made it past the initial application round, so I never applied for my passport. Plus, I couldn't afford the $150+ application and processing fees. But now, since I can actually afford it, I've gone ahead and completed the application and will be heading to my local passport office soon to apply! I've already planned trips to Mexico, Puerto Rico (even though as a US citizen I don't need a passport to travel there), and Brazil over the next two years!! ✈️✈️
Blog Domain Name
I promised myself if I kept blogging for six months, I would consider purchasing the domain name for my blog. I started this blog in May, just days after my college graduation and it's now November. That's six months, right? I love using Weebly to design and update my blog and I plan to continue to use them in the future to keep All Caked Up running. Be on the look out in 2015 for some new features on the blog! And most importantly, a dot com name!!
Vinyl Record Player
And as a bonus gift, I've got my eye on this pink Cruiser Briefcase Portable Vinyl Record Player. Even though I'm a millennial, I'm a child at heart with an old soul. So forget the wireless speakers and headphones! Get me a few good records and a vinyl player. The vinyl player pictured above is by Crosley. They make a line of amazingly crafted vinyl players. Although I've never actually heard a vinyl record, I have a feeling that they may just sound better than the digital music we're all currently use to. Plus, it's portable, so I can move it all over the house or even take it to small get togethers!
Overall, I've got my wish list set for this Christmas. Later this month, I'll be highlighting some gifts that are great for family and friends! Enjoy your Thursday!!
