Good afternoon dearies! I hope everyone had finished their holiday shopping and settling in for a cozy holiday weekend with family and friends! Today, I'm sharing a Christmas edition of Monday Musings. I've gathered all my Christmas favorites, classics, and new features that help me celebrate the holiday! Take a look!
Finals are over, you've got two weeks off for the holidays, so let the Christmas holiday commence! For me, there are three things that I must have when Christmas time rolls around. Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas Is You" blaring throughout the house, a huge mug of hot chocolate with marshmallows, and TBS's 24 hours of A Christmas Story! (I've been watching the marathon every year since I was 7 years old!!)
If you're a 90's baby like me, you'll also enjoy Home Alone. I'm still amazed by every single invention and gag Kevin was able to pull off! And if you need a film for the entire family to enjoy, pick up It's a Wonderful Life. Keep a box of tissues close by! This film definitely pulls at the heart strings. Each of these movies makes for a great stocking stuffer as well (each is under $10)!
Let's not forget about wrapping presents! As of lately, I've really gotten in to gift wrapping! Finding festive and unique ways to wrap gifts for your family and friends can become sort of a challenge, but it doesn't have to be. Try to find festive, not traditional, ways of gift wrapping. Check sites like Pinterest for ideas and use some items you may have at home (craft paper, glitter, chalk, newspaper, etc.)
And who can resist a tacky Christmas sweater party?! These sweaters aren't just for the thrift store shopper anymore. Oh no! Tacky Christmas sweaters are churning up big business! Find some here.
Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!!
