Thank God it's Friday! The weekend is finally here loves, so get ready to have some fun. I'm taking a quick 72 hour trip to see a good friend of my in a few weeks, so I've put together a little post detailing some of the things I find purposeful when packing (depending where you're headed!)
battery pack phone charger // water bottle // pajama set // travel neck pillow // clear mascara // chapstick //
energizing eye patches // camera // sunnies // weekender bag // mini flat iron //
I don't travel much, but when I do, I'm normally only gone for 72 hours tops! Unfortunately, I pack like I'll be gone for a month. With my next trip, I'm only taking one bag (minus my purse). And since I'm only taking one bag, it's vital that I find a bag that's not too large but not too small. That's why it's crucial to find the perfect weekender bag!
But what exactly should you pack for a 72 hour trip?
The bag above is from H&M and I'm really digging it! I've recently gotten into leather, and I find this bag to be so sleek and versatile. I've got my eye on it and it's on sale ($25!). If you scoop it up, let me know how it is!
But once you find the prefect weekending bag, you've got to fill it up with a few good items.
I plan to fill my weekender with a fresh pajama set (no over-sized tees this time!), mini flat iron, clear mascara and my trusty Burt's Bees chapstick! Normally, I sleep in an old t-shirt and running shorts, but since I'm not in the comfort of my own home, I think it's best for me to look somewhat decent! And for those moments when I want to change my hair from straight to curly, a mini flat iron will do the trick. Packing my larger one will only weigh my bag down! And lastly, clear mascara and chapstick are my bare necessities. I don't normally wear brown or black mascara anymore because I tend to rub my eyes so frequently, so clear does the trick. Plus, it gives me a more natural look. And I've got to have smooth lips. Dry and cracked lips are not cute! I care this this exact chapstick around with me every single day and I'm in love with it!
Now, for those of you who have some serious fun ahead of you in the next 72 hours, I advise purchasing some eye revitalizing pads and a neck pillow! It'll make you're return trip so much easier!
But to really enjoy your quick weekend trip, try to limit yourself to access to technology. I plan on investing in a battery pack phone charging case, because without FAIL, I always forget my car phone charger. So by the time I arrive at my hotel, I'm scrambling to find an outlet! Don't be me! Get the phone charger case so you won't be out and about searching for an outlet every few hours. And speaking of phone, keep it charged, but limit your usage. Try bringing along a point and shoot camera like this Polaroid (above)! It makes for instant memories and it super easy to tote along. Lastly, don't forget your shades and water bottle. Shades protect your eyes and you'll need a fresh bottle of water to keep yourself hydrated.
Have a great weekend! Get out and go somewhere!
