OMG I am soooooo happy to be back! I've been recuperating for the past three days and my, my my...have I got a lot to tell you all.
But first, I want to give you all a new playlist! It's 4th of July weekend and you'll need some good music to last you the next three days! There's a lot of good, summertime music on here!
4th of July Weekend
A lot happened while I was MIA from the blog.
Mom's birthday kicked off July, so it only felt right for me to grant every wish she commanded. I slaved over the hot stove and made her breakfast and dinner gladly! I even whipped up some fun Neapolitan cupcakes for her!
It took a lot for me to get through the day, because I was suffering from a weird illness. For the past few days (more like week almost!) I've been experiencing intense pain behind my left eye, a stiff neck, fatigue, and sharp centralized headaches -- all symptoms of a brain aneurysm. Yea, totally scary. I'll be heading to the doctor soon to get everything checked out, but I've been feeling much, much better these past two days. I'm thinking it was a combination of sinus complications and adjusting to my new diet. I've been trying to incorporate more fresh fruits, veggies, and whole grains into my diet but it obviously took a toll on my body.
I've successfully completed two Meatless Mondays so far this summer, and let me just say, it was like hell for me. Granted, I probably consumed so much fresh produce and grains during those two Mondays, I was so relieved when Tuesday came around. I'm still eating my fruits and veggies but I've almost completely reverted back to my old self, consuming as much fatty, greasy foods as possible. I guess the sudden dietary change was a shock to my body. I'll be sure to take it easy from here on out.
