Happy Friday loves! We've made it to another weekend! Can you believe that the first week of February is already over? 2016 please slow down. Just wanted to take some time to continue this What's Good? series with you all. Hopefully you all like it? If you do, let me know by leaving a comment will ya? Gracias!
What I'm Reading...
After having a blast reading Why Not Me? by Mindy Kaling, I knew I had to pick up her first book!
Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? (And Other Concerns) is so hilarious! I really loved how Mindy gave some awesome insight to her childhood and how she made it to Los Angeles as one of the top female comedy writers. Look for a good laugh? Grab it!
Right after I finished Mindy's book, I grabbed Forget A Mentor, Find A Sponsor by Sylvia Ann Hewlett. I was given this book at a university weekend event back in October and I'm finally getting around to it. Mind you, it's not comic gold but it's got some great and applicable advice on how to get to the next level in your career!
And as always, I'm still attempting to learn Brazilian Portuguese! I picked up this phrase book while out in California last year. Not really sure if my plans to travel to Rio this summer will stick (no thanks Zika virus!) but it never hurts to be prepared! Right now, I know three words...which is three more words than I knew before I picked up the book! *Pats self on the back.
What I'm Eating...
For those of you who follow me on Snapchat (margggg58) know I am always cooking something. I'm no chef but I can handle simple things like steamed veggies, quinoa, cookies, and pasta. I made this super flavorful pasta sauce on Tuesday night and it took my noodles to an all new level! Be sure to watch my snaps for more recipes.
What I'm Watching...

I stumbled across this show on Discovery Channel last month and you can say I'm hooked. Killing Fields focuses on an unsolved homicide case down in the Iberville Parish in Louisiana. I don't really watch anything homicide related other than the fictional cases on Law & Order, but this show drew me in. With a retired police vet who first worked the case returning to take part and a new, younger officer eager to apply all of today's technology to help solve it, I'm biting my nails in anticipation. It was filmed over a set number of weeks, so each episode provides more and more info. Killing Fields airs on the Discovery Channel on Tuesdays at 10pm ET/9pm CT.
What I'm Wanting...
Are words even necessary? I've been searching far and wide for green faced watches and this one by Nixon is enough to make reconsider ever purchasing a watch again in life! With my birthday later this month, this just might be the perfect purchase.
Lots of fun stuff coming to the blog next week leading up to Valentine's Day! Have a great weekend and stop back by next week!
