It's officially spring and I am loving this warm weather! I can finally pack up my "winter" coats and put the booties away and pull out fun skirts and strappy sandals.
I picked up this flirty, floral skirt during my recent trip to Mexico. My friend and I knew we had some down time before our cooking class later in the evening, so we hopped in a colectivo (Mexican shuttle service) and made our way into the city of Playa del Carmen. They have this great shopping center, Paseo del Carmen, we knew we wanted to check out. They have your typical American stores like Old Navy, the Nike Store, and Starbucks. Better yet, they have both Zara and Zara Home! We definitely did some damage in Zara!
Right as we walked into the shopping center we stopped in this store called Bershka. It's a Spanish department store with trendy pieces for both men and women. The best store I can compare it to here in the States is H&M. The vibe is very hip relaxed and all the associates had great style! Plus, when you pay for things in Mexican Pesos it doesn't hit your wallet as hard, lol!
No matter where or when I shop, I head for the sale/clearance racks and sections first and this time I was rewarded! I found this flirty, floral print skirt and knew I needed to bring it back with me. I don't have too many soft or feminine pieces in my closet right now, but I feel this adding this skirt to my closet is the perfect way to start to soften things up.
The Jacquard skirt is completely embroidered with flowers in the most delicate and cohesive way possible! It features a fun little (emphasis on little!) ruffled hem and a concealed side zipper. Be sure to size up when ordered (European clothing tends to run a bit smaller than US clothing).
I opted to keep the look simple by pairing it with a light-wash denim button up and tie-up nude sandals for an easy spring look. What are you most excited to wear this Spring? Comment below!

It's been forever since I've blogged! I have been so wrapped up in my graduate program and work that I just have not had the time to write. Honestly, I should be studying for an OM test I have tomorrow, but I couldn't fight the urge to post a few pictures from my recent trip to Tulum, Mexico!
I recently enjoyed a week-long stay in the magical town of Tulum, Mexico! Knowing that I'd be hanging out on the beach just about everyday, I ordered a few swimsuits prior to leaving.
This orange bandeau one piece ended up being my favorite. I knew I wanted a one a few one pieces to wear so I could just easily throw a pair of shorts on when roaming the town, so when I came across this suit by ASOS I knew I had to grab it. I originally wanted it in black but when I saw this bright orange I couldn't resist!
Staying true to my love of one pieces, I found this festive little number by Lovers + Friends while scouring Revolve's sale section about a month before my trip. Besides the fun pattern, the suit is actually this amazing cotton-y, terry cloth type of fabric that feels so good -- feels nothing like normal swimsuit material. Plus, the front zipper adds a bit of sassiness! The suit has a deep scoop back and adjustable straps.
**Revolve also carries this same style in a two-piece!
And who can resist throwing on a fun mix & match bikini?! I bought this Target bikini over a year ago and finally got to wear while south of the border. The hot pink fringing and colorful, funky stitching were perfect under the Mexican sun.
This is just a glimpse of my time down in Tulum. I can't wait to show you the rest of my exciting trip! Be sure to check back in later this week to find out the best places to eat, grab drinks, and explore!
