Travel Packing Tips // Sheepskin Jacket // Canadian Tuxedo // Brazilian Sugaring // DIY Fix Cracked iPhone Screen
Today would be the perfect day to stay in bed, watch movies, and sip something hot to avoid running around in the rain all day down here. Instead, I'm sending emails, scrolling through spreadsheets, and searching for my next plane ticket. Although today's been a little on the dull side, there have been some things that have caught my eye and given me a lot to consider. Check out this week's Monday Musings!
Travel Packing Tips for Your Next Trips: fun fact for you guys-- I'll be on a plane every other weekend for the next two months beginning this Sunday. Needless to say, I'll be spending a large sum of money on tickets and other transportation and I'm not really sure how I feel about that (insert no see monkey emoji). Besides figuring out how to snag a ticket for cheap, I've got to figure out how to maximize luggage space since I'm going to be back and forth so frequently. I'll be using tips from this article by StyleCaster to help me pack for my upcoming trips!
I'm really interested in finding a cool, edgy jacket for the Fall/Winter and I found this genuine sheepskin jacket. The detailed quilting/ribbing on the shoulders and arms gives this jacket some edge. If I can hold out until the price drops a bit more, I'll snag it!
Even though Fall is officially upon us and I'm still trying to build my boot/bootie collection, I'm still looking for the perfect chambray shirt so I can pull off the ever present Canadian Tuxedo. One of my favorite bloggers (pictured above), Katey McFarlan (Hellman), pulls it off seamlessly! Medium wash denim? Check! Light wash chambray top? Check! Casual tank? Check! Chunky platform neutral sandals? Check!
Now, what I'm about to mention may be fairly new to most of you...it was to me! Brazilian sugaring! Haven't heard of it? It's suppose to be this less painful, more organic alternative to waxing. I'm doing my research on this ancient beauty ritual before I test it out. If you're interested in Brazilian sugaring, read a little bit about it here.
Outside of traveling, denim on denim, waxing myself with a lukewarm sugary mix, I have serious First World problems. I cracked the screen on my iPhone almost a month ago and have yet to get it fixed. I'm not too keen on paying someone $60-$100 to replace the screen, so I'm looking in to fixing it myself. There are lots of kits available online that I can order. Let's just hope I can follow this step-by-step guide and all turns out well!
Lots to consider over the next few weeks! Is there anything that's caught your eye recently?

With cooler temps approaching, I've been searching for pieces that I can wear frequently. Now, by no means am I a stylist-- just a girl who's really learning to love her simple approach to fashion and styling outfits. A few key pieces I plan to incorporate in my every day wear this Fall are: moto/leather jackets and blanket scarves. I purchased this nice BB Dakota jacket last winter and plan on wearing it frequently for the next few months. Moto and leather jackets can add a little bit of edginess to an outfit, so throw it on to give your outfit a boost!
Now, I missed the whole "blanket scarf" trend last Fall/Winter, but I am on it this year! I'm about to order this scarf from ILY Couture. It looks large and cozy enough for me to wear when it gets chilly out.
And above all else, I think I'm ready to get back to my all black outfits. I don't know what it is, but I think monochromatic outfits are sleek and refined. Plus, they're by far the easiest to put together (just make sure your pieces aren't faded!). And just as easy as they are to put together, they're just as easy to dress up! Wearing an all black ensemble? Add a nice chunky gold watch and some simple layering necklaces to complete to look!
I can't wait for temps to cool off down here so I can finally get my Fall styling started! What are some of your favorite ways to style for the chillier seasons?
