Simple. That's how I like my foods. Only ketchup and mustard on my cheeseburgers. No tomatoes in my salads. And I only take mustard (sometimes BBQ sauce) on my hotdogs. There's nothing complicated when it comes to my cooking. And that's exactly how this beans and rice recipe is I whipped up earlier this week.
- black beans (canned or dried)
- brown rice
- quinoa (I used a Harmony blend)
- sausage (I used Andouille)
This beans and rice remix is super simple to make and definitely sticks to your bones--perfect for those cold winter nights. The great thing about this recipe remix is that you can switch up the ingredients to your liking! If you don't care for black beans, try pinto. If you want red quinoa, go for it! Chicken sausage instead of Andouille? Be my guest! It's all up to you and your taste buds.
Cook all of the ingredients accordingly and combine to create this awesome and tasty dish! Enjoy!
