Ran inside the entrance of the Andy Warhol museum to snap a quick pick with this background!
Snapped this pic from the River Walk.
After having taking picture after picture of and on the Andy Warhol bridge, I made my way a couple of blocks over to visit the Senator John Heinz History Center. You guessed it-- it's a museum...sort of! If you're ever in downtown Pittsburgh, it's a must-see! It's literally 5 floors of greatness! I especially enjoyed the Heinz section--it highlights numerous products of theirs and details the company's global impact! This place literally features so many cool exhibits under the sun. They've got local Pittsburgh memorabilia all the way up to global pieces featured from WWI & WWII. Not to mention, an entire FLOOR dedicated to Pittsburgh sports! Admission is less than $20 for adults and believe me, if you hit all 5 floors you'll have gotten far more than your moneys worth!
After being out and about a full 12 hours, I had to get some rest for Sunday's football game at Heinz Field!

If you've been reading my blog for any amount of time now, you can see that most of my travels revolve around sporting events. This trip was no different except for that fact that I got to spend some much needed time with family!
The Steelers took on a feisty Oakland Raiders squad which made for a really exciting game!
The Steelers got the "W" and my weekend was made.
I has such a fun weekend in Pittsburgh exploring the city, hanging with family, and supporting the Steelers. I can't wait until I get the chance to come back!
I'll be updating the blog a lot this week with another really, really fun travel post, another recipe, and a fun style post! Thank you all so much for taking a few minutes out of your day to visit Simply Monday Musings!
Pittsburgh. Home to the three sister bridges and the city where three rivers meet. The city that produced more steel than all the allied axis powers combined during World War Two. The newest city I have fallen in love with! I took a little trip up north a few weeks ago to visit family and explore this beautiful city. I had an absolute blast!
Minute Maid Park -- Home to the Houston Astros
Hello loves! I just got back in to town earlier this week and I am officially on a traveling hiatus until late December! Don't get me wrong-- I love to travel. I was in a different state practically every week during the month of October. Not to mention a couple of trips to Nashville, TN and a quick game day experience in St. Louis, Missouri. Seriously loved it all! But now it's time to rest and enjoy some time with my family.
Today I just want to catch you up on a quick trip I took to Houston and College Station, Texas late last month.
Here's my philosophy on traveling-->You should only be in your hotel room when it's time to go to sleep. No matter where I go, I try my hardest to find something that will get me out of my hotel room and into the heart of the city!
I hope everyone had a great weekend! Today I'm sharing the second part of my 3-day stay in San Diego, California last month. I was in the Pasadena area earlier that week and decided to head on down to San Diego for the Monday Night Football game! My Steelers were in town and I felt like it was far too close for me to not go. But before heading over to Qualcomm Stadium that night, I took some time out to visit some popular areas in the city--Balboa Park being one of them.
